Linda N

Being in love with music her whole life, Linda N joined radio in 2004 at KQfm in Port Elizabeth. Intrigued with selecting sounds that moved audiences, she decided to play music as a DJ for live audiences on Sundays at local pubs. In 2005 she moved to Bayfm, where she left in 2007 as Programs Manager after being head hunted by CKIfm (later, trufm). She hosted the midweek midmorning show for four years consecutively at trufm and decided to go for gold in Johannesburg at Kayafm. Under the mentorship of Bob Mabena, Mark Mdlela and Greg Maloka, Linda N grew her brand as a NeoSoul/Soul and Jazz diva at the station and ended up introducing huge brands such as Dianne Reeves, Roy Hargrove and Gregory Porter at the 2015 Joy of Jazz Di Naledi stage. This earned her much respect as a music presenter because she’s since become the country’s go-to for any music references. Linda grew moved from Kayafm to Power fm weekends and later to Mzansi Urban, a Pretoria based online radio station where she was able to add music compiling as on her CV along with presenting and doing voice over work. Linda N moved back home to Port Elizabeth in 2020 to work weekends at Algoa fm. In April of 2022, she went back to the SABC via one of the country’s top National Radio station Umhlobo Wenene fm where for the first time in her radio career she’d had to speak her mother tongue, isiXhosa for 3 hours fully. Linda N currently works as an on air personality and music compiler at Umhlobo Wenene fm. Her shows are Afro Cafe on Tuesday evenings from 21:00 – 00:00 where she plays local music exclusively and Eziyolosayo every Sunday morning from 11am to 1pm where she dishes out the best Soul and R&B jams.
